Murphy sizzles at Trafalgar Pro Am

Fifty-three professional and 107 amateur golfers took part in the Trafalgar Pro Am in hot conditions on Wednesday.
The scoring on course was just as hot with assistant professional at the national golf club's Long Island course, Ben Murphy shooting a blistering six under 64 to win by one shot over Harrison Wills, with Matthew Millar finishing a further shot back in third.

Murphy had not played the course before but this was not detrimental to his chances finishing with an eagle and birdie in his last three holes to capture the win.
"It was the first time I'm seeing this course so it was probably a blessing in disguise where you don't know where the trouble is," said Murphy.
Murphy was very complimentary of the Trafalgar layout describing it as "phenomenal." "Seriously, as a country course, this is as pure as it gets," he said.
The professionals line up at the end of the day for a 110 metre shootout on the 18th fairway. This was won by Jake Hughes.
Trafalgar Golf Club captain, Peter Moss said the day was a great success despite two interruptions due to lightning during the afternoon.
"The day was a success for the club and we want to thank all of our wonderful sponsors and volunteers who assisted in the lead up to the event as well as the professionals in attendance."
