More than 160 children took part in a dinosaur adventure at Warragul and Drouin libraries during the school holidays.
Toby the T-Rex, a life-sized dinosaur, and his puppeteer handler mesmerised young attendees at the two Myli libraries, bringing the prehistoric world to life in an interactive and educational way.
The school holiday activity allowed families to escape to the library on a cold and wet day.
A highlight for the children was the opportunity to interact with Toby T-Rex firsthand. They were able to pat the friendly dinosaur, feel the texture of his skin, get a closer look at his impressive features and have their photo taken.
The event also featured interactive storytelling and fascinating facts about different dinosaur species and their habits.
Rosie, age five, said "it was surprising and great".
"My favourite part was standing up and doing actions," Rosie said.
Another library patron said they travelled from Berwick and "are glad we did as the kids loved it".
"It was an excellent activity for children, but was also enjoyable for the whole family," the visitor said.
