Once a year at St Paul's Anglican Grammar School, year six students are determined to be crowned as the next "Iron Chef."
Organised by Warragul Junior School Japanese teacher Kooloos Sensei, the students were tasked to create their own "Kyaraben" or "character lunchbox."
Before the event, students meticulously spent time in selecting their favourite cartoon or anime character of which they would recreate entirely out of food.
To combine language and culture, the students "shopped" for their ingredients by speaking in Japanese, before creating their lunchbox masterpieces.
It was then a race against the clock to create the best Kyaraben lunchbox character in a 60-minute timeframe.
Things were all going well until Kooloos Sensei announced there was only 10 minutes to go. All the students began to work faster to ensure they gave themselves the best chance possible of becoming the Iron Chef Champion.
