Warragul Bowling Club's last two men's championship events for the year were held on Saturday. They were the men's fours and men's drawn pairs.
The fours saw Peter Gallasch (skip), Noel Rubenstein, Russ Carrick and Bruce Thompson against Jim Power (skip), Ian Belling, Brian Barby and Ken Landman.
Peter's team won the first three ends to lead 4/0, but then lost the next four to trail 4/8.
They got one, then Jim's team got eight shots over the next three ends to lead 16/5.
Peter's team got six on the next three ends to bridge the gap to five shots. Jim's team got five to one over the last four ends to win the final by nine shots.
The drawn pairs was between David Ferguson (skip) and Lester Mason against Warren Hobson (skip) and Bob Currie.
Warren and Bob won the first two ends but then lost the next four to trail 3/5. They got two on the last end to tie the first set at five all.
The second set was close over the first five ends with the scores at three all. David and Lester got a big three on the sixth end to go into the last with a three shot lead.
Warren and Bob got one on the last end, but it wasn't enough, and they lost by two shots.
