Students at St Paul's Anglican Grammar School in Warragul have shown their support for a student who has a family member with Huntington's disease.
The junior school's Student Representative Council led support implementing a theme at the school - "Wear Something Blue - Huntington's Awareness Day".
The entire school turned blue for the day with students and teachers wearing blue outfits as a show of support for student Liam McKay who has a close family member with the disease.
As part of the the day, the SRC hosted various activities including ball games, a colouring competition and cold merchandise from Huntington's Victoria.
Along the way and as part of a wider community effort more than $8000 dollars was raised for Huntington's Victoria that had representatives at the school on the day explaining more about HD.
Teachers had already been educating students about the disease and its devastating impact throughout the year. 
Huntington's is not widely known and little understood. It causes deterioration of brain cells and impairs physical, cognitive and emotional/psychological functioning.
