Quilting for Ukraine at Neerim South
1 min read

Sympathy for the people of Ukraine has stirred a group of Neerim quilters to do something as a show of support.
Having watched Ukrainians suffer through the invasion of their country by Russia, the group set a target of making 40 quilts for refugees arriving in Australia.
After hundreds of hours working on their quilts, their target is almost complete.
To held raise further funds, the group has decided to hold a quilt show to display the quilts made for the refugees. In addition to those, many other quilts will be on display.
The display will be held at Algie Hall in Neerim South on Saturday, July 2 between 10am and 4pm.
Entry will be $5. Devonshire teas and sandwiches will be available.
Hourly raffles will be held, with a special quilt on offer for the major prize drawn at the end of the day. All money raised will go to Ukraine refugees.
A number of private market stall holders also will be present.
