
An art and craft exhibition will be held at the Walhalla Mechanics Institute Hall over the Easter long weekend.
Organised by members of the Walhalla Board of Management and the Walhalla Heritage and Development League, the exhibition is an opportunity for children to try some new crafty skills and learn techniques from local artists.
Open from 11am until around 4:30pm between April 18 and 21, the free exhibition will feature artworks created by Gippsland-based artists, some of which will be available for purchase.
There will also will be artists doing painting demonstrations, a spinning wheel for children to try, a rock painting station and other children's activities.
The Walhalla Heritage and Development League will hold a raffle to be drawn on Easter Monday at 4pm.
Raffle prizes include a painting by Ling Wang valued at $500, tickets to the Walhalla Long Tunnel Extended Mine, Ghost Tours and Goldfields Railway, accommodation at the Star Hotel and more.
Raffle tickets will be available to purchase for $2 each.
