Drouin Primary School recently hosted its first healthy eating competition.
As a member of the Vic Kids Eat Well Initiative, the school encourages students to eat more fruit and vegetables daily.
Recently the school ran a classroom healthy eating competition to see which class could eat the most servings of fruit and vegetables in one week.
Children were encouraged to take extra fruit and veggies to school as part of their lunch box and the school also had extra fruit available thanks to support from Woolworths.
The winning class, grade 5 RA will receive a visit from the West Gippsland Healthcare Group's health promotion team with its popular smoothie bike. The class will be treated to healthy fruit smoothies powered by their own legs.
The innovative competition was the brainchild of Anna S from grade 3JK.
