Warragul Regional ask R U OK?

Warragul & District Gazette, September 22, 2015

Warragul Regional College held a number of activities to increase connectedness and promote well being in the school community as part of R U OK Day recently.

Students were provided with the confidence and awareness to start a conversation and ask their friends and peers if they are ok.

They also gained increased knowledge and awareness of the support available in the community.

R U OK is an annual day in September dedicated to remind people to ask family, friends and colleagues the question “R U OK?” in a meaningful way, because connecting regularly and meaningfully is one thing everyone can do to make a difference to anyone who might be struggling.

Co-creator of R U OK Day said getting connected and staying connected is the best thing anyone can do for themselves and for those who may be at risk.

Lunchtime activities included a barbecue, music, Boxkick, an exercise bike challenge and meditation.
