Trafalgar remains on top of ladder

Trafalgar had an impressive eight-shot win in division one on Tuesday and remains top of the ladder.
Division one: Trafalgar 14/63 defeated Newborough 2/55
Matt Schreyer (skip), Edward Kuklinsky, Heather Taylor and Mary Holdsworth won 25/18.
Matt's rink started even before breaking away with a five on the seventh end. The opposition clawed their way back to be 16-all on the 17th. However, Trafalgar had all the answers, coming back for a comfortable seven-shot victory.
Adam Proctor (skip), Paul Dawson, Helen Robertson and Sue Robinson lost 15/25.
Adam's team led 10/3 on the eighth end before Newborough took charge, scoring 17 unanswered shots over the next six ends to have Trafalgar trailing 10/20. They went on to lose by that margin.
Ian Miles (skip), Matt Ogilvie, Noel Rubenstein and Pat Tatterson won 23/12.
Ian's crew led all day and their 11-shot triumph was enough to take out the rink of the day.
Division two: Trafalgar (2) 1/51 lost to Neerim District 15/74
Peter Watson (skip), Greg Sephton, Lyn Hill and Graeme Ralls lost 20/24.
Peter's team was trailing by as many as 11 shots at one stage. But they kept on fighting to only go down by four.
Wayne Hurst (skip), David Wilson, Margaret Moss and Joanna Reekie drew 21/21.
In Wayne's rink, the scores were level three times early. Trafalgar pulled away to lead 19/9 on the 17th. Neerim came back with a three, four and a five to see Trafalgar trail 19/21 on the 20th. However, Trafalgar got two shots on the last end to force a draw.
Rob Matthews (skip), Paul Gridley, Rob Connell and Carol Fox lost 10/29.
Rob's crew, although playing well, was outgunned by Neerim for a 19-shot loss.
Division five: Trafalgar (3) 2/31 lost to Drouin (4) 8/66
Ed Davies (skip), Lyn Sephton, Rosalyn Blew and Bev Webb lost 10/47.
Ed's team struggled against a strong Drouin four, posting a 37-shot loss.
Darryl Horner (skip), Bill Lithgow, Tony Dawson and Karen Johnson won 21/19.
Darryl's rink started well to be 7/0 up. Drouin put on a burst to level it at 14-all after the 14th end. A five-shot end by Trafalgar on the 15th broke the deadlock, with Trafalgar holding on for a two-shot win.
