A Trafalgar resident chased a suspected thief after being alerted by a security camera.
Police said the incident occurred in Dodemaides Rd on Wednesday at about 3.30am.
They said CCTV showed a silver hatchback parked outside the premises before a person got out and rummaged through an unlocked vehicle.
The resident chased the offender after gaining the alert but the offender escaped.
A wallet from the centre console and jerry can were reported stolen.
On the same night, at about midnight, a Honda lawn mower and Honda whipper snipper were stolen from an unlocked shed in Vincent Blvd.
Two thefts from vehicles parked in residential driveways were reported in Trafalgar overnight on Sunday, November 10.
Police said a leather Rip Curl wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Settlement Rd and a Nike sports bag from the rear tray of an unlocked vehicle in Harvest St. The sports bag contained a pair of female boxing gloves and wrist straps.
Also in Trafalgar, a black Ebolt electric bike left unsecured was stolen on Friday, November 1. The theft was reported at the Trafalgar Railway Station between 9.30am and 9.30pm.
