Thirteen Gippsland tourism businesses and information services were in the spotlight at the Victorian Tourism Awards.
Among them were Tallawarra Homestead at Tonimbuk and the Mercure Hotel at Warragul.
Tallawarra, described as "five star" and an example of Australian colonial homesteads, received a bronze award in the hosted accommodation section.
Mercure Warragul continued its recognition at the awards being a shortlisted finalist in the 4 to 4.5 star deluxe accommodation category.
The 48 room hotel that opened eight years ago has been a finalist since 2018 and received a silver award in 2021 and was highly commended in 2022.
Operators of Wilsons Prom Cruises took out a third gold award in the major tour and transport operators category qualifying for elevation to Hall of Fame status.
Nine businesses in the region gained gold, silver or bronze awards, including five at Phillip Island plus Bass Coast Shire council, while three others made the finalists' lists.
