It will be probably another couple of months before Warragul - more specifically the four clocks feature in the middle of the Smith-Queen Sts roundabout - catches up with the times.
The clocks' faces have been frozen in time for several months and Baw Baw Shire can't get them attended to until at least the end of November, weather permitting.
A Gazette reader drew attention to the out of action clocks with a "Bricks and Bouquets" contribution several weeks ago.
Council's communications department said a full internal rebuild of the clocks' mechanisms that is required was "reasonably complex" but would extend their useful lives and reduce the possibility of them not working in the future.
It was stated that a specialised skill set was required for the type and age of the clocks and a contractor wouldn't be available for possibly another couple of months.
The repair works also will cause some inconvenience to pedestrians and vehicle drivers for several hours due to the need for an elevated platform infrastructure to be located at the roundabout.
