An inaugural "Bunyip Spirit Award" at Bunyip Primary School has gone to Charlie Chrisfield.
Charlie, who was one of 25 grade six graduates this year, received the award provided by Bunyip and District Community News in acknowledgement of demonstrating the spirit of Bunyip through "thoughtfulness, generosity, respect and willingness to help others".
Principal Jenny Dowsett said Charlie ticked all the boxes and was a unanimous choice.
Describing Bunyip primary as a great school, Charlie said his favourite subject was science and he would continue his studies at Drouin Secondary College this year.
It may be a few years off, but Charlie said he would like to be a truck driver, farmer or zoo keeper when he finishes school.
