An alarm halted an attempted theft at a Drouin car wash on Tuesday, November 5.
Police reported the incident occurred at Magic Car Wash in Princes Way at 2.10am.
They said it appeared a lock on a coin dispenser was cut using bolt cutters which triggered an alarm.
A silver or grey ute with stolen registration plates, "BKM 247", was captured on CCTV.
Anyone with information which may assist police enquiries is urged to contact Warragul police on 5622 7111.
