Warragul Regional Newspapers general manager Andrew Schreyer was elected president of Country Press Australia on Thursday.
Mr Schreyer joined Warragul Regional Newspapers, publisher of The Gazette, in November 2005 and became general manager in 2013. He became a member of the Country Press Australia board five years ago.
Andrew recently completed a two and half year term as Victorian Country Press Association chairman. He remains a director of VCPA.
Previous Gazette chiefs to lead the association were Keith Hopkins MBE (1968-71) and Brian Hopkins OAM (1998-99), who also is a life member of Country Press Australia.
