Students prepare for carnival fundraiser
1 min read

Longwarry Primary School students of all ages were hard at work last week working on ideas and preparing stalls for the school's "Crows Carnival Fundraiser" on October 27.
The inaugural carnival is being held at the school to raise funds to update and modernise the school library's facilities and add to resources and books.
The carnival will include rides, games, market stalls, live music, food vans and other activities all to raise money for this vital cause.
On Tuesday afternoon, students across the school and their teachers were working together to get their stalls and stands ready.
The year one to two composite class will be presenting a plant seedling stall and were busily planting various seeds in preparation for the day. Available plants include, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, zucchini and beans among others. The planting also was an opportunity for the year one and two students to learn how planting vegetables works.
The year five and six students were working on a makeover hub where visitors will be able to have their hair braided and "glittered" as well as have temporary tattoos applied.
Other students in these year levels were preparing show bags to be purchased on the day.
At the same time, years three and four were working on building cardboard box cars to race in and preparing lucky dips for visitors on the day.
The carnival will be held from 2pm to 8pm on Friday, October 27 at the school. Entry is free and wristbands for unlimited rides and access to the jumping castle and petting zoo can be purchased on the day.
