Five Trafalgar High School students were guests at a special Anzac commemorative ceremony at Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance.
The ceremony was the 91st Anzac service conducted by Legacy which this year is marking its centenary of assistance to families of ex-service personnel.
The years nine, 10 and 11 students from Trafalgar - Celvin Evans, Riese Pancutt, Ambrose Bajada, Billy Brullo-Warnock and Brydie Boyle - where chosen to attend because of their connections to cadet programs external to the school.
The ceremony was held on the final day of term one because of Anzac Day this year falling during school holidays.
Speeches were given by Governor of Victoria Linda Dessau, chair of the shrine's trustees Captain Stephen Bowater and by several students.
Trafalgar High School principal Brett Pedlow said the school's representatives were able to recognise and reflect the importance of Legacy's help to families whose members gave their lives or health in service to the country.
He said the school would also commemorate Anzac Day on April 25 with attendances at services at Trafalgar and Thorpdale.
