Live performers to hit the Wesley stage

The Wesley of Warragul is set to host some incredible live performances in the coming months, including Orchestra Victoria, renowned chamber orchestra Genesis Baroque, and Australian folk music legend Eric Bogle.
Locals will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with musicians from Orchestra Victoria on Friday, June 21 when "Brass on Tour" makes a stop at the Wesley.
Supported by Creative Australia and Creative Victoria, Orchestra Victoria are travelling throughout regional towns, providing greater access to classical music.
The free concert at the Wesley will feature a mix of nostalgic favourites and new works.
They include Gershwin, Debussy and Louisa Trewartha.
The "Brass on Tour" concert will commence at 7.30pm.
On Saturday, June 22, Melbourne-based period-instrument chamber orchestra, Genesis Baroque, will perform a selection of "Paris Quartets" by 18th century composer Georg Philipp Telemann.
Audiences will be transported back to Paris in 1736, utilising the Wesley's strong acoustics to create a sound very similar to the original performance.
The concert will feature Meredith Beardmore on the traverso - a Baroque flute, Jennifer Kirsner on Baroque violin, Laura Vaughan on the viola de gamba and Donald Nicolson on the harpsichord.
The performance will commence at 2.30pm and conclude at 3.40pm.
Tickets are $46 for general, $43 for concession, $15 for adults accompanying a young muso and free for young musos. Purchase online at trybooking.com/events/landing/1161306?
