A day of poetry with BBAA

Experience a day of poetry on Sunday April 6 when the Baw Baw Arts Alliance hosts a writing workshop and a "Poetry Bauhaus."
From 11am to 1pm, a writing workshop designed to inspire others to write and perform their own work will be held at the VRI Hall in Warragul.
The workshop is the brainchild of BBAA member and artist behind the previous "Poetry Bauhaus" events, Yvette Stubbs.
This workshop will take participants through a series of discussions and exercises on how to write for the ear, use rhythm and sound to enhance meaning and edit with the reader and audience in mind.
Poet Es Foong - also known by her alias "Waffle Irongirl" - will facilitate the poetry workshop before performing at the Commercial Hotel in Warragul from 2:30pm at the "Poetry Bauhaus" event as the featured poet.
The "Poetry Bauhaus" will see local writers and some from further afield, share their writing and invite audience participation.
Es Foong is the star attraction for the April 6 event. Their works explore themes of estrangement and belonging.
Featured in pages such as "Best of Australian Poems, 2022", and on stages including Canberra Poetic City, 2023, "Waffle Irongirl" wants you to know that you are a wild, precious and unique expression of possibility and you are cherished.
Their poetry collection 'Clot and Marrow' is available from Recent Work Press.
