Warragul Parkrun participants donned their brightest colours on Saturday morning in celebration of the event's 10th birthday.
In the pre-run briefing, event director Lea Naismith thanked everyone who attended the celebration before cutting a special birthday cake.
"It is wonderful to see so many faces that we now call friends through the amazingness that is parkrun," she said.
"There have been so many personal milestones over the last 10 years, we hope you reflect on your own reasons for continuing to be with us on a Saturday morning."
Ms Naismith acknowledged the 569 volunteers who wore "superhero vests" during the past 10 years. Over Warragul Parkrun's 10 years, 461 events have been held, 4812 different people completed a five kilometre event and 6842 personal bests were achieved.
"You have all contributed to these statistics, thank you so much," Ms Naismith said.
Warragul Parkrun host a free five kilometre event in Brooker Park Warragul every Saturday at 8am. Participants are welcome to run, walk or jog the course.
Participants only need to register once, which can be completed online at www.parkrun.com.au/warragul/
