Teen robbery

A group of teenagers allegedly assaulted two females in Drouin last Tuesday.

Police said they had identified five of the six youths believed responsible, ranging in age from 13 to 15-years-old.
They said the robbery and assault occurred in the vicinity of McDonalds in Young St.
Police said one victim, a 13-year-old girl, was crossing a road when an ice cream and slushie were thrown at her. The slushie hit her in the back of the neck.
The victim reported one female teenager chased her and she went to ground in fear. She was hit and her hair pulled before she got to her feet and attempted to run away.
Police said the girl reported she was chased by three teens who assaulted her, stomping on her and punching her, before demanding a phone. She escaped without handing it over.
The second victim, a 56-year-old woman, was reportedly shoved before being assaulted by a male teenager. Police allege she was kicked in the back and punched in the face.
When a bystander intervened, the group of teens ran away, with one teen grabbing car keys that had been dropped by the woman.
Police said one female teenager had been arrested and interviewed.
Those identified include a 13-year-old girl from Traralgon, a 13-year-old boy from Drouin South, a 14-year-old girl from Warragul, a 15-year-old girl from Moe and a 15-year-old girl from Warragul. The sixth offender was a male.
