Superkick coming to Warragul
1 min read

Kids around Baw Baw Shire will have the chance to dust off their footy boots and get back into the swing of things as AFL Gippsland and AFL Victoria host a one-off AFL Superkick Pre-Season Program next month.
The one-day round robin competition will allow teams to take part in a series of modified matches in a fun and friendly environment for skill development and team camaraderie.
It will take place on Sunday March 16 at the Geoff Watt Memorial Track in Warragul from 10am to 4pm, with fixture times varying throughout the day.
Players will compete on smaller rectangular fields in teams of nine, with the option to have up to 15 players per team and rotating substitutions.
There will be three age divisions, those being under eights mixed, under 10s mixed and under 12s mixed.
Additionally, an all-girls division could be on the cards should there be sufficient interest, providing a great opportunity for newly formed girls' teams to participate.
The cost of the program will be $55 per player, which includes a participant pack featuring a bag, footy, pump and socks.
AFL Gippsland Regional Manager Tim Cotter said the organisation was "incredibly excited" to be hosting the program.
"This event provides a wonderful platform for our young athletes to develop their skills, build teamwork, and enjoy the spirit of Australian rules football in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. We encourage all local teams to get involved and make the most of this fantastic pre-season opportunity."
