Lurking somewhere in the back of the minds of most school students is a desire to "get one back on the teachers".
That may have been a part of the thinking of prefects at St Paul's Anglican Grammar School at Warragul but they did have a much more honourable motive when coming up with the idea of an ice bucket challenge.
The honourable reason was to create greater awareness of and raise funds for Fight MND (Motor Neurone Disease).
The other reason was to put some of their teachers through an uncomfortable and chilling dousing with ice blocks and icy water.
Seven teachers "played it cool" and their reactions to their big freeze was humorous and to the great delight of the students that watched.
At the end of the ordeal the prefects were glad to have been able to contribute in a small way - they raised $590 - through gold coin donations to contribute in a small way to those in the community that need assistance.
MND is a group of progressive and life limiting conditions surrounding the nerve cells that regulate voluntary movements.
