To better prepare students for their driving future, St Paul's Anglican Grammar School recently had all year 10 students participate in a road safety incursion.
Among several activities, students were able to consider various elements of the driving environment and add safety features to cars. This allowed them to see how different elements of their surroundings and vehicles can improve - or lessen - the safety of road users and pedestrians.
With road safety education starting well before a learner driver takes the wheel, students were also provided the opportunity to be completely immersed in road simulation with virtual reality headsets.
Students spent time after the event reflecting on their learning, taking away important information and tips to consider while they improve their skills.
