It was all smiles for Warragul as they had their second trifecta for the season on Saturday with all three divisions scoring a win.
Two of the club's divisions have good prospects of being in the finals with division four now at the top of the pennant ladder, overtaking Longwarry.
Division one: Warragul defeated Traralgon RSL 82/81
Warragul's one-point win came from the very last bowl of the match in a tight game.
John Vickerman, Terry Sullivan, Marg Ratcliffe and Rob Renn (skip) won 24/22.
Ken Landman, Gaye Renn, David Smith and Graeme Davis (skip) lost 13/21.
Bruce Thompson, Russell Carrick, Pat Hammond and Bill Clappers (skip) won 28/20.
Lynne Thomas, Tony Wynd, Peter Gallasch and Gary Ingley (skip) lost 17/18.
Warragul is now seventh on the ladder.
Division four Warragul (2) defeated Neerim District (2) 91/60
Brian Kennedy, Linda McCoy, Lyn Morrison and Paul Simmons (skip) won 24/12.
Paul's team led all the way. By end 13, the score was 23/4 in Warragul's favour. Neerim then scored on six of the last eight ends to shorten the margin.
Jock Morrison, Ian Belling, Ken Scammell and Jim Moyle (skip) won 22/21.
This rink's effort proves you never give up. By end 10 Jim's team were down 13 shots, however, they got it together, kept plugging away, and won by one shot.
Belinda 'Binny' Slate, Peter Ellis, Des Stephens and David Ferguson (skip) won 24/14.
David's team started off with a six on end one, then kept the lead all day.
Bernie McIntosh, Age Percy, Glynis Mitchell and Greg Mitchell (skip) won 21/13.
It was a bit of a battle on this rink, with scores being even on end 15. However Greg's team scored on five of the last six ends, including a five, which cemented the win.
Warragul is now first on the ladder, overtaking Longwarry.
Division five: Warragul (3) defeated Morwell (4) 77/45
Heather Baker, Adrian Helmuth, Sharon Bull and Brent Grigg (skip) won 38/11.
Brent's team started off strongly and had a convincing win, with several multiple scoring ends, including a five and a seven.
Bianca Sheehan, Henny Schreyer, Daniel Sheehan and Roy Hammond (skip) won 21/17.
As the score shows this was quite a close match, however, Roy's team scored an eight on end eight, which gave them the lead from thereon.
Rob Park, Bob Harris, Lyn Lowe and Bill Clarke (skip) won 18/17.
Warragul are sitting third on the ladder
Midweek
It was a mixed bag for Warragul in the first midweek round since Christmas, with two losses and one win.
However, divisions four and six have a good chance of making the finals.
Division one: Warragul lost to Newborough 41/66
John Vickerman, Lynne Thomas, Gaye Renn and Rob Renn (skip) lost 18/22.
This match was closely contested, with the score being 16/17 in Newborough's favour on the 17th end; however, the home side scored on three of the last four ends to give them the win.
Russell Carrick, Bill Clappers, Pat Hammond and Marg Ratcliffe (skip) lost 11/23.
This match was a struggle from the start with the score on the 17th end being 5/20 to Newborough; Warragul managed to score on four of the last five ends, however they had left their run too late.
Paul Simmons, David Smith, Graeme Davis and Peter Gallasch (skip) lost 12/21.
This rink was behind all the way, with scoring on only seven ends.
Warragul are now in sixth place on the ladder with only four rounds to go to the end of the season.
Division four: Warragul (2) lost to Longwarry 57/60
Matt Draisma, Ian Belling Lyn Morrison and Jim Moyle (skip) lost 14/19.
Heather Baker, Bob Harris, Glynis Mitchell and Greg Mitchell (skip) lost 15/20.
Tony Wynd, Dennis Rankin, David Ferguson and David Gatewood (skip) won 28/21.
This was a great match against the top team who have yet to lose a game. A win was within Warragul's grasp.
By end 20, Warragul was 57 shots, seven shots ahead of Longwarry. However on the final end Longwarry scored on all three rinks, giving them a three-shot win.
Warragul still retains second place on the ladder with high hopes of making the finals.
Division six: Warragul (3) defeated Morwell (4) 53/30
Pam Vickerman, Chris Wilkins, Roy Hammond and Bill Clarke (skip) won 27/16.
Bill's team started off strongly and by the seventh end were 12/3 in the lead. Morwell started a bit of a comeback, however, with Warragul winning eight shots on the last three ends, Bill's team took out a good win.
Sandra Porch, Gary Allen, Mike Cousens and Gabrielle Draisma (skip) won 26/14.
This match was a bit of a battle at the start, with Morwell winning shots on the first four ends, however, Warragul got their mojo back and finished strongly with a seven on the final end, giving them a 12-shot win.
Warragul is currently fourth on the ladder in a tight race to the finals, with only 15 points separating the top five teams.
