Trafalgar scored a vital win in division one on Saturday as they took down the top team in Traralgon.
Division one: Trafalgar 16/73 defeated Traralgon 2/64.
William McIlwain's crew led early but allowed Traralgon back into the game. Despite a strong finish Trafalgar lost 16/19.
Nathan Cook's team kept Traralgon under control all day for a seven shot win, 19/12, giving them rink of the week status.
Matt Schreyer's rink had a six-end drought in the early stages of the game and were down 6/9 on the 10th. From here they outscored Traralgon 12/8 to finish with a great one-shot win 18/17.
Chris Bortignon's team led all day for a superb 20/16 win.

Peter Jonas' rink was at eight-all on the 11th end and at 17-all on the 20th only to drop two shots on the last end to go down 17/19.
Steve Lodge's team was only down 10/13 on the 13th but the opposition after scoring a seven on the 14th finished off the better, defeating Traf 14/28.
Frank Farrugia's team was seven-all on the eighth and 13-all on the 14th but could not hold on and went down 16/21.
Bruce Giles' team was close early, but after end 11 it was a one-way street ending with an 11/33 loss.

Steve Lodge (skip), Mal Clymo, Peter Watson and Tony Dawson lost 14/28.

Division five: Trafalgar (3) lost to Garfield (2) 14/80.
On Derek Jones's rink scores were level on three occasions. A five-shot haul on the 16th gave Trafalgar the momentum to pull away to win by seven shots 23/16. The seven-shot win made Derek's team equal winners of rink of the week.
Darryl Horner's team was holding the opposition and were 8/9 on end seven but was then outscored 7/24, going down 15/33.
Paul Gridley's rink had no answer to a strong Garfield side going down 11/31.
Derek Jones (skip), Peter Dart, Xavier Schreyer and Shirley Melsen won 23/16.
Darryl Horner (skip), Sue Robinson, Ken Davy and Kathy Geisler lost 15/33.
Paul Gridley (skip), Helen Robertson, Lincoln Fraser and Larry Heenan lost 11/31.
Division six: Trafalgar (4) 10/46 defeated Newborough (4) 0/41.
Ian McCartney's team was down by 13 shots on the 12th end but came home outscoring Newburgh 19/2 for a 24/20 victory.
Travis Jenkins team got away to a flyer and by the 14th end had a 13-shot lead.
Newborough held Trafalgar scoreless for the next six ends and on the 20th Traf was trailing 20/21. Travis's team held their cool, scoring two for a one-shot win 22/21.

Travis Jenkins (skip), Noel Morland, Mary Holdsworth and Rosalyn Blew won 22/21.

Trafalgar got off to a bad start in the new year, losing all three divisions on Tuesday.
Division one: Trafalgar 2/52 lost to Morwell Club 14/53.
Matt Schreyer's rink was a seesaw affair and despite a late comeback went down 17/20.
Adam Proctor's team got away to a good start with a five on the fourth end and led all day for a 22/18 win.
Ian Miles' rink was close all day, ending with a narrow two-shot loss 13/15.

Peter Watson's, Wayne Hurst's and Rob Matthews' teams all let the opposition get away in the early part of the match and despite putting up a good fight were unable to bridge the gaps, going down by six, three and nine shots respectively.
