Divison two saw some strong performances from most of the top four sides this weekend. However, the competition leader may be in for a fight next week after a solid resistance from their opposition.
Hallora v Western Park
A ridiculous spell of spin bowling by James Allen has put Western Park in the box seat at Hallora.
Losing the toss and put into the field, Alex Henshall (51) gave the Warriors troubles early, as apart from Oscar Sheehan (2-43) the quick bowlers for the Parkers struggled to make in-roads on a high-quality Hallora wicket.
Enter the man they call "Jumbo"- the Englishmen showed why he is the heroic and courageous skipper, taking the Kookaburra and showing his brethren how it was done.
The Kangas had no answers for the prime athlete - 14.4 overs of toil netting him an unbelievable 7-18, as memories of his prolific South Devon career became front of mind for all that bared witness. The end result was Hallora being all out for a disappointing 121.
In reply, Tyler McMillan and Kurtis Harper saw the visitors to the end of the day unscathed at 0-34, with a victory in sight next week.
