Thorpdale battles in the wind in bowls

Returning back after the festive season, Thorpdale were greeted to a very windy start to the 2025 bowling season.
Division two saw Thorpdale battle it out at home with Traralgon to a final point score of 87/90 with two rinks winning, and two losing.
Division two: Thorpdale 4/87 lost to Traralgon (2) 14/90
Skip David 'Ferg' Ferguson's team scored well with a 26/19 win and skip Grady Edwards' team romped in with a win of 31/16.
Unfortunately skip Brendan Jennings' battlers struggled and couldn't get on top of their opponents on the day and only managed a score of 15/32.
The other losing team was led by skip Ben Powell and their final score was 16/23.
Division seven: Thorpdale (2) 0/30 lost to Moe (4) 10/51
Division seven hosted Moe with both rinks unfortunately losing on the day with a final score of 30/51.
Skip David Eves' team went down 13/25 after a very drawn out battle and skip Ross Pethybridge's team did a little better with a loss of 17/26.
