Star local filly Gatesys Gem won the Graeme Lang Aldebaran Park two-year-old Trotting Mile at Bendigo last Wednesday night.
It was another success to Trafalgar trainer Glenn Hunter, driver Nathan Jack, owner Rhonda Hunter and local breeders Ray Voumard and Michael Hughes.
Meanwhile, top reinsman James Herbertson who is currently competing in France, will miss the chance to collect back-to-back Traralgon Pacing Cup wins at Warragul this Monday afternoon (December 9).
Herbertson drove Master Remi to win the feature race last year.
His absence may open the door for driver Chris Alford to secure an unprecedented seventh success in the cup, run each year at Warragul to recognise the 20-year history of the former Traralgon Harness Racing Club.
Alford is expected to have drives across the entire race meet.
Organisers are hopeful of good entries for the Monday afternoon fixture.
