Hallora teenager Rhylee Stewart will be heading to Brisbane next month to compete in the Australian Track and Field Championships.
Rhylee, 15, will be competing at the national event for the second time in the under 16 800m competition after qualifying at the final Victorian Milers Club meet in Doncaster recently.
Requiring a time below 2:04.00, Rhylee came home strongly to post a personal best 2:03.86 and secure his ticket to Brisbane. It means he has now shaved off more than six seconds from his personal best time this season.
Rhylee trains locally at the Geoff Watt track with the Gippsland Track
