Garfield were left to lament a slow start against Koo wee rup on the weekend.
While both teams entered the match with just two wins to their names, it was the Demons who came out of it better off, claiming a 10.9 (69) to 6.6 (42) win.
A blustery day at the Demons' home played a major role in the result.
Koo wee rup utilised the breeze beautifully early, kicking five goals in the first – including one just before the siren - to establish an early lead.
