Nyora Raceway has a huge show packed with family fun this Saturday from 4pm, with the sprintcars headlining the racing portion of the program in the 'Battle at the Bullring.'
Meanwhile, club president Marcus Reddecliffe has made a special call to Santa Claus, and he will make an appearance for all the kids that are in attendance.
The fun doesn't stop there with standard saloons, women's standard saloons, junior standard saloons, 1200cc junior sedans and sports sedans all in competition with the night closed down by a spectacular fireworks show to send everybody home happy.
In sprintcar action early signs are that all of Gippsland's best drivers will be in town to compete for the $2000 cash up for grabs for winning the race.
Koo wee rup local Thomas McDonald and Frankston man Kim Gosling, who both call Nyora Raceway their home track, will be coming up against the likes of Victorian champion Nigel Laity from Wiseleigh in East Gippsland, Alistair Bastian from Lucknow, and Adam Greenwood from Sale.
Competing with Chevrolet LS CT525 engines these machines make all the noise that we come to expect from any sprintcar no matter the powerplant.
Nominations in the sedan classes are set to feature drivers from all over Gippsland and Melbourne's south east suburbs, with plenty of entertainment to be delivered in the standard saloons after some elbows were lifted on track at the last event in November.
Drivers will be told to be on their best behaviour by event stewards, however one senses there might be some scores to settle.
Mark Miles from Catani leads the charge for Nyora with brothers Andrew Miles, Chris Miles and Jay Miles making it a family affair and others such as Kacey Ingram, Owen and Harry Cecil will be right in amongst the action and vying for the top spot.
Junior standard saloons and junior 1200cc sedans competitors are looking forward to the opportunity of competing at Nyora for the first time this season while the women's standard saloons and sports sedans return after appearing on Melbourne Cup long weekend.
Tom Braz, a winner at Bairnsdale in junior standard saloons this past weekend, leads the field whilst Bryce Leek, Ella Sheedy and Chase Doherty are a few of the drivers in the 1200s that are ready to battle.
Meanwhile in the women's standard saloons expect Caroline Allen to compete, with the likes of Maddison Miles and Bronwyn Miles set to keep Caroline honest.
