Plenty of pride in roller derby
1 min read

This Saturday will see the Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby host the fourth annual Pride Cup at the Warragul Leisure Centre.
The event, held on collaboration with the Gippsland Pride Initiative, is billed as a vibrant celebration of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the roller derby community and beyond.
A big feature of this year's edition is an exhilarating match against the reigning champions, The Gender Ending Story.
The Pride Cup has become a cornerstone event for Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby, showcasing the values of acceptance and unity through the spirit of sport.
The match promises to be an electrifying display of athleticism and teamwork, while also emphasising the importance of celebrating LGBTQIA+ folk within the sporting arena.
The event's schedule is as follows:
9am - Junior low contact
10am - Junior modified contact
11am - Adult modified contact
1pm - Formalities
2pm - Exhibition bout
4pm - Presentations
Entry is $5 at the door, with kids under 14 going free.
A livestream will be available via the Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby Facebook page.
