Neerim District's division two side has qualified to play finals for the first time in five years.
A five-shot victory over Thorpdale secured the semi-final place during the final round on Saturday.
Division two: Neerim District defeated Thorpdale 77/72
The best rink for the home team was Ray Throup, Jim Fallon, Pat Aurisch and Peter Throup who won by seven.
Finishing in third place on the ladder, Neerim will host Traralgon on Saturday.
Division four: Neerim District (2) lost to Longwarry (2) 43/106
A depleted team travelled to Longwarry and found the going tough.
The best Neerim rink was that of Linda Chapple, Roger Gouge, George Rymer and John Rochford who got within three shots of the win.
Neerim will remain in division four next season.
Division six: Neerim District (3) defeated Traralgon (6) 51/20
Neerim hosted Traralgon in the final round.
It has been another a roller-coaster ride this year, with the team having to forfeit on three occasions and playing short a player or two a number of other times.
The comprehensive win ensures that Neerim, against the odds, will play finals.
The best rink of round 14 was that of Glen Joyner, Bruce Mironow, Cookie Halligan and Trevor Khunell who had a 24-shot victory.
The semi-final will be at Newborough on Saturday.
It's been a good season on the green for Neerim District. Two of the club's five teams have made finals and two others are in finals contention with one round of midweek pennant to play.
Midweek
Neerim hosted the penultimate round of midweek pennant, with both teams playing round 13 on their home green.
Division two: Neerim District defeated Newborough (2) 78/51
Hosting top of the ladder Newborough, Neerim won two of the three rinks for a 27-shot win to remain in finals contention.
Rink of the week was that of Heather Guppy, Kay Cousins, Chris Hogan and Karren Sheers who had a 35/11 win.
In fifth place on the ladder and just a few points out of fourth position, the side will play second placed Drouin in the final round. To make finals, they need a win and other results to fall their way.
Division six: Neerim District (2) defeated Churchill (2) 37/34
Getting underway early to avoid the heat, Neerim played in a hard fought contest. It was one rink apiece, with Neerim managing a three-shot overall win.
The winning rink for the home team was Linda Chapple, Cookie Halligan, Joe Merino and Jim Schroeder, with a 15/11 result.
Division six sit second on the ladder, just ahead of Churchill and Traralgon RSL, who they play today. A win will put them into finals.
