Neerim District's top weekend pennant team travelled to Traralgon to play the third placed team on Saturday.
The round 13 contest saw the teams share the rink wins but Neerim winning overall.
Division two: Neerim District defeated Traralgon (2) 80/71
Winning two rinks apiece, Neerim's overall win cements fourth place on the ladder.
They now sit one game clear of fifth position.
Equal rink of the round was that of Russell Meehan, Gregg Chapple, Angus McGillivray and Neil Adams who won their match 23/10.
Neerim plays Thorpdale at home on Saturday, with the visitors trying to avoid relegation.
Division four: Neerim District (2) lost to Yarragon 85/88
Neerim hosted Yarragon, with the visitors winning a tight contest.
The only home rink to win was that of Des Pelly, Gerry Engelstad, Thelma Schroeder and Jim Schroeder.
Division four has avoided relegation and sits in seventh place on the ladder.
Division six: Neerim District (3) defeated Trafalgar (4) 49/34
This team travelled to Trafalgar, where both Neerim rinks found the "blue lagoon" to their liking.
Equal rink of the round were Wendy Olsson, Bronwyn Throup, Peter Nolan and Roger Till who won 27/14.
Division six sit in fifth place on the ladder but on equal wins with fourth placed Trafalgar. They will play top side Moe in the final round whilst Neerim play sixth placed Traralgon.
Midweek
Both Neerim District teams played at home in round 12 on Tuesday.
Division two: Neerim District defeated Morwell Club (2) 90/40
The visitors found the fast green challenging, with all three rinks succumbing to the home team.
Rink of the round was that of Graeme Wingrove who led superbly, Mel Neil, Gregg Chapple and Julie Adams. They scored a 39/14 win.
Division two are in fifth place on the ladder - equal fourth - and host top of the ladder Newborough today.
Division six: Neerim District (2) lost to Traralgon RSL (3) 40/48
After a see-saw tussle, the visitors prevailed on both rinks to win by eight shots.
Best Neerim rink was Roger Till, Wendy Olsson, Thelma Schroeder and Neville Cousins who lost 26/29.
Division six are fourth on the ladder and will host second placed Churchill today.
