POOWONG scored an upset of sorts, finishing strongest to overcome its more fancied opponent Longwarry.
The Magpies bookended the performance with a good first quarter helping them to victory, 9-14 (68) to 7-13 (55).
Poowong made the stronger start, taking a 13-point lead into the first change before the Crows responded through the middle periods.
