POOWONG continued its recent run of form to account for Yarragon and enter the Ellinbank District football top five.
Three-time league best and fairest winner Jack Hazendonk again led his side to another valuable win over another rival in the mid-pack, the Magpies winning 11-5 (71) to 5-10 (40).
Poowong kicked out to an early 16-point lead with four goals to one in the first term, its accurate return of 6-0 to half time helping it to a 13-point buffer at half time.
The Magpies made their move in the third term, adding three goals to nil to open up a 30-point lead at the last change.
