Longwarry win in a thriller

Despite most matches being called off across the region, Longwarry's division four team had the luxury of playing at home under "the dome".

It was a thrilling match against Yallourn North, with the home side holding off the fast-finishing visitors in a six-shot win.
Both division one at Newborough and division six at Traralgon were called off due to the wet weather.

Longwarry welcomed Liam Quarrell for his first game of bowls and the evergreen Lloyd Maisey for his comeback game.Kevin Dixon, Blake Bartrop, Sharon Twite and Graham Woolstencroft (skip) lost to Rod Dixon's team 19/21.
Liam Quarrell, Ian Charge, Geoff Bailey and Dale Hendrick (skip) lost to Craig Speake's team 17/22.
Rob Quinn, Robert Proctor, Mark Serong and Gerrard "Hogg" Mitchell (skip) defeated Ricky Hearn's team 18/15.
Lloyd Maisey, Pauline Dixon, Simon Counsel and John McCarthy (skip) defeated Darren Fry's team 24/14.
Midweek
Longwarry won two of the three rinks at Warragul for a comprehensive 31-shot victory to keep their undefeated season going.
Division four: Longwarry defeated Warragul (2) 70/39
Rob Quinn, Nat Cousin, Col Finger and Ken White (skip) lost to David Gatewood's team 12/19.
Hayden McCarthy, Pauline Dixon, Craig Cousin and Jason "Pommie" Lieshout (skip) defeated Greg Mitchell's team 30/11.
Kevin Dixon, Heidi Bosch, Sharon Twite and Trevor Kitchin (skip) defeated Jim Moyle's team 28/9.
