Longwarry's division two team travelled to Neerim South for a third versus fourth clash on Saturday.
Putting in a strong performance, Longwarry won three of the four rinks in a 32-shot overall win to set up a rematch on Saturday in the first semi-final.
The division five team travelled to Morwell in a must-win game to give them a chance to play finals. In a tight contest, Longwarry came away with a tie to just miss out.
However, finishing in fifth position was a fantastic effort in the team's first season up, with several new bowlers to the club.
