The Pakenham Eels Rugby League Club hosted the NRL Storm Premiership preseason challenge over the weekend.
With the eastern conference teams all descending on Comely Banks Reserve in Officer, they competed in a round robin competition as sides looked for a competitive hit-out before the season begins.
The senior men's side, coached by Drouin's Will Rata, defeated the Frankston Raiders 38-0, before falling to Waverly 8-24. They will now look to next week where they will face teams from the western conference.
