Two members of Warragul Little Athletics have qualified for the Australian Athletics Champions in Perth later this year.
Brooklyn Wyatt and Zaria Dalton will both be competing against some of the best in the country after outstanding results at the Athletics Victoria Track and Field Championships in Melbourne on the weekend.
Competing in the women's under 14 category, Brooklyn found success in both the hammer throw and discus, racking up 32.52m in the former to win the gold medal and be named state champion while securing a silver in the latter with a 27.74m throw.
She also earned a seventh-place finish in the shot put with 7.72m.
Zaria brought home a pair of silver medals in her women's under 16 events, running a 12.55 in the 100m and 25.96 in the 200m.
The pair will be heading to Perth in April for the Australia-wide championships to compete in the events they medalled in, where they will be vying against the champion athletes from other states for the gold medal.
