Kevin's years of merit

Ellinbank football ground is like a second home for Warragul resident Kevin Johnson.

After heading to the ground for 51 years as a player, committee member and now volunteer, Kevin reflected on his years at Ellinbank after being recognised with an AFL Merit Award.
It is easier to list the roles the club life member hasn't filled - senior coach - than those he has, having served as president, secretary, treasurer and bar manager on top of junior coaching roles and being a six-time premiership player.
However, with his grandchildren now starting to pull on the Eagles strip, the leader of the Thursday night "kitchen crew" has no plans to stop his dedicated service.
