Warragul netballers had a successful start to the Gippsland League season, with an A grade win and two junior teams tasting success.
A grade: Warragul 71 defeated Wonthaggi 38
In their first match against strong opposition, the Gulls showcased impressive performances across the court.
Emma Ryde excelled as goal shooter, working seamlessly with goalers Jaime Rollinson and A grade debutant Audrey Simpson.
Sienna Green delivered an outstanding display in the midcourt, while Renee Nobelius - in her 100th game - led a formidable defence alongside Ella Rees and debutant Jade Finn.

B grade: Warragul 40 lost to Wonthaggi 54
It was a tough start to the season for the Gulls in B grade, who went down to a very strong Wonthaggi side.
The strength and depth of the Gulls' defence end kept the girls in the game, with Mackenzie Minichiello, Ellen Croft and Ella Gaul making the Power goalers work for every score.
A refreshing change in the attack end saw Jasmine Gallasch dominate in the goal circle. She worked tirelessly with Zoe Ryde.
Not the start the Gulls wanted but a great effort by the whole team.

C grade: Warragul 10 lost to Wonthaggi 50
The Gulls put in a solid team performance on Saturday, showing strong defensive pressure across the court.
The backline worked hard to turn over the ball, with standout defensive efforts from Cara Gavin.
In attack, Misha Moore impressed with her smart leads and quick ball movement, helping to create opportunities in the goal ring.
The team showed great determination and continued to fight hard until the final whistle.

17 and under: Warragul 37 defeated Wonthaggi 36
This was a closely contested game which ended in an exciting Gulls win.
The team was able to find composure under pressure in the final quarter to come away winners.
Alisha Smith was awarded best on court for her strength in the goal ring. Brooke Cahill was pivotal in the centre court, applying pressure and frequently providing an option.
A great start for the season ahead.

15 and under: Warragul 78 defeated Wonthaggi 11
In a fantastic start to the season, the Gulls showed incredible connections from the defensive end to the goaling end.
It was strength and competitiveness that didn't let the girls take the foot off the pedal.
Goalers Piper Wilson and Tiffy Walsh were unstoppable, shooting a whopping 78 goals.
Defenders Addie Moore and Finlay Heenan didn't give the Wonthaggi girls much of a chance at converting on their centre passes.
It was a great show of skill and teamwork, and a great foundation for a successful season.
Awards: Addy Moore, Milly Henry and Sapphire Pratt.
13 and under: Warragul 9 lost to Wonthaggi 15
Wonthaggi came away with the win in an exciting under 13 netball match.
Despite the final score, the Warragul girls showed great teamwork and determination throughout the game.
Standout players for Warragul were Addison Burton in goal shooter, Isla O'Brien in goal defence and Evelyn Blackwood in centre, who were all awarded for their strong performances on court.
