A nasty head clash brought a premature end to Warragul Industrials' defeat to Inverloch-Kongwak on Saturday.
Trailing 6.8 (44) to 13.19 (97) against the reigning premiers in the fourth term, the Dusties had shown some solid signs and team play despite trailing handily on the scoreboard.
However that scoreline was to end up the final one as Dusties' youngster Jed Pinkerton and Sea Eagles star Paul Pattison collided with one another, leaving both players unconscious and resulting in the clubs taking the cautious route, calling an ambulance and calling off the match early.
