Darnos return to junior fold

It's a new year for the Warragul and District Junior Football League and with it brings a new team.
The Nilma Darnum Junior Football Club have joined the competition for season 2025 and, if Sunday's practice matches are anything to go by, are raring to go.
The club will be fielding sides in all three age divisions - under 10s, 12s and 16s.
Their entry into the league comes as part of the senior club's mission to re-establish a full junior pathway to the senior side, having set up under 18s and 16s sides since 2023.
It will be the first time in close to 20 years the Bombers have had a full junior contingent. The junior club's re-establishment will also allow the new generation of Nilma Darnum families to pull on the sash, with youngsters Eddie Campbell and Eddie Kesby becoming fourth generation Bombers to wear the jumper.
Officials hope that with a pathway now established all the way from under 10s through to senior football, the club's senior side will see the benefits in years to come.
Nilma Darnum played their first series of preseason matches against Neerim District and will officially kick off their season later this month in round one against Ellinbank.
