Longwarry has further flexed its finals credentials with another victory over a top four rival, holding on to account for Ellinbank in an epic contest played in slippery conditions.
Holding an 11-point advantage at the final change, the Crows were forced to hold firm against a pressing Ellinbank side as the siren came with the ball deep in the Eagles forward line.
The 7-12 (54) to 7-7 (49) result saw the battle between second and fifth further tighten, all on 11 wins, as the Crows moved a step closer to securing a finals appearance.
