Croquet club to celebrate 120 years
1 min read

The Drouin Croquet Club will celebrate its 120th anniversary on Saturday.
The club will be cutting a cake at their home venue in Oak St, as well as conducting a sausage sizzle as part of the activities connected to the opening of the Drouin Community Hub on the same day.
The date October 1903 saw the foundation of the club at the home of Dr and Mrs Druitt at 26 South Rd.
In conjunction with its 120th birthday, the club will also be holding its open day from 10am to 2pm for the local community and anyone interested in undercovering the intrigue of the game of croquet. It is part of Seniors Week, though participants of all ages are welcome.
Any enquiries can be made to president Barbara or secretary Vicky at drouincroquet@gmail.com.
The croquet will be free and the club has mallets that can be used, so why not come along and get hooked on croquet? All that is asked is to please wear appropriate footwear.
