Colin and Michelle Jackson present Vinnie Caia with the Brendan Noy Rising Star Award.
Talented Warragul footballer Vinnie Caia has been awarded the club's 'Brendan Noy Rising Star Award' to assist in his transition to senior football.
The award, named after former-Warragul Gulls player Brendan Noy and provided by Brendan's family, comes with $500 to help the recipient pay for football expenses such as fees, travel and equipment.
Vinnie was a member of the Gulls' under 18s premiership side last season, and will be looking to make an impact on the club's senior team this year.
He was chosen by the club committee primarily for his commitment to the Gulls during his time in junior football.
Brendan Noy was 32 years old when he was tragically killed in a car crash in 2018. He played football from the age of 10 with the Warragul Blues Junior Football Club and then Warragul Football Club until 2004. At the age of 19, he left Warragul to pursue his career.
