BULN BULN have overcome a challenge from final five hopeful Poowong to maintain its unbeaten status.
The Magpies showed signs of their improvement and based on their form, now sit favourite to clinch a finals spot in the lower reaches of the five.
Poowong challenged the Lyrebirds at times but struggled to break the three-goal barrier on the way to going down 11-16 (82) to 10-5 (65) in a respectable effort against the ladder leaders.
The Magpies showed speed from the stoppage early as a 50-metre penalty gifted them the first through Kurt Newton.
